Was raised in upstate New York. She
earned a B.A. in German and History from the State University
of New York at Binghamton and went on to receive a M.F.A. in
Dance from The Ohio State University. For six years Katie
taught in the Dance Program at Ball State University where she
was awarded grants from the Indiana Arts Commission and Dance
USA to learn the dance technique and repertory of Isadora
Duncan. Most recently, she was selected to be an associate
artist at The Atlantic Center for the Arts in Florida, where
she worked with the Parsons Dance Company. Currently she
serves on the dance faculty at Ohio Wesleyan University and
Stivers School
for the Arts in Dayton. Katie joined The Dance Cure in August
2003.
