grew
up in Columbus, Ohio, and began her classical dance training
with Miss Becker’s Dance Studio in downtown Columbus at the
age of 3. She joined BalletMet Columbus’s Academy in 1987
and studied there until 1995. She has studied with Shir Lee
Wu at The Columbus Youth Ballet, and also with Tim Veach at
the School of Columbus Dance Theatre (CDT) and under Roberta
Taylor at BalletMet Columbus, and CDT. She has performed
professionally with The Atlantic Ballet Company in Camden,
Maine under the direction of Michele Cox, with Columbus
Dance Theatre under Tim Veach, and Atelier de Ballet
Classique under Roberta Taylor. Jennifer has done lighting
work with The Columbus Movement Movement (CM2), Kennet
Oberly, CDT, and for Christina Kirk, and has worked as a
backstage hand and backstage liaison for The Contemporary
American Theater Company (CATCO), The Rhythm In Motion Dance
Collective, and Natalie Marrone and The Dance Cure. Jennifer
graduated from the Ohio University with a degree in Early
Childhood Education in 2001. She has taught dance for young
children at Atlantic Ballet Company, Columbus Youth Ballet,
Columbus Dance Theatre, and currently at The New Albany
Ballet Company. This is her first season dancing for The
Dance Cure.
